Former ballplayer Albert Spalding led the Chicago White Stockings and All-Americas exhibition team around the world to promote the sport. On March 25th, they had a elegant French RICC Dinner for the Members of the American Base Ball Clubs at the Pavilion Ormeau, which included a true gourmet feast - "Mutton Cutlets A La Jardinere, Creme A La Pompadour" - six courses in all with "Fromage" for dessert. Card stock menu meassures 4x6.5" with a few pinholes and a corner crease. Beautiful gold leaf edge bespeaks the quality of this rarity.
