1993 California Horse of the Year Bertrando was a tall colt who racked up major wins throughout the early part of the decade. Among the prizes he won along the way were these two: a handsome bronze statue of horse and rider that measures 10.5" x 9" and is in EX condition overall, with the bronze being unsigned. The plaque commends the three-year-old champion and his breeder Ed Nahem presented by the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association. The metal statue of the jockey is over 12" tall and also features a plaque on its wood base from the same group acknowledging the "Leading California-bred Two-year-old" as the "Money winner of 1991." There is some loss to the paint but it still presents well.
