Many fighters got their bells rung during the early days of the sport, and this vintage cast iron-and-brass ringer was used at Motor Square Garden Arena in Pittsburgh around the turn of the last century. The 5900 Baum Bl. was purchased from a man who does estate work in the area. There's an original label on the back that reads: "BOXING RING BELL." The manufacturer - "ABBE'S PATENT" - is superimposed on the metal base. Fine condition. Label dates the bell to late 19th, early 20th century.
