A first we have found in many innings of searching, this is a complete stockholder's book of sev-enty- five stock certificates for the New Britain Base Ball Club. Three are issued and signed by Club President James J. Murphy. They are separated from the book but retain their receipts. The balance of seventy-two are unissued and connected to their receipts and are overall 14x8.5". They are each beautifully adorned with steel engraving of an American eagle with stars and bars shield. The book is in excellent condition with very slight dampness. Stocks are overall NRMT. The binding is marvelous in red leather with marbleized ends. On the spine in gold is beautifully incised "Stock Certifs. N.B.B.B.C."
