He wasn't exactly Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer but Seabscuit was the focal point of these relatively large Christmas cards from his retirement days. The first is entitled, “Seabiscuit Home on the Range” and features Charles Howard riding the champion thoroughbred (measures roughly 9x7" with mount trimmed along the top edge). The second - "Stallion Barn At Ridgewood Ranch 1948" shows a lovely pastoral shot of the barn on a lazy afternoon. This is in "As New" condition with the original envelope sent by the Howards to someone named Mr Willard C., who worked for the family on the Ranch. This one measures roughly 9.5x8". Inside the card, printed in red, is Howard's brand - an "H" inside a triangle, with the greeting: "MERRY CHRISTMAS MAY YOU HAVE THE BEST OF RACING LUCK THROUGHOUT THE NEW YEAR, MR. AND MRS. CHARLES STEWARD HOWARD."
