A superb relic from the late 19th Century, this 1890s black leather strap helmet is unused and in mint condition. The original silver reach logo in the forehead is 100% leather and remains fresh and supple to this day. The original box is fragile and reads: "FOOTBALL HEAD HARNESS" as well as "A.J. REACH COMPANY PHILADELPHIA." The wallpaper-style green box is in EX condition. This is unquestionably the best football helmet of this era that we have seen. Box measures 8.5" x 8.5" x 7 1/8".
