Beginning with World War II, the United States Navy Seabees constructed bases, roadways and airstrips among other duties. These two jackets feature naval manufacturer's tags in the back of the hooded collars, as well as the ensign's hand-written name (Robert E. Boucher) and rank (CM 3/c or Construction Mechanic Third Class). Both jackets feature Seabees emblems patch, stripes and other emblems on the left sleeve, as well as the right upper breast. There's also a slim pocket on the left breast. Included in the lot is a beret with a 6 5/8 size tag inside, as well as the remnants of a white ribbon. The jackets are in EX condition. Several fictional TV and movie characters were described as Seabees, including Al Borland from "Home Improvement" and Ward Cleaver from "Leave It To Beaver."
