And you thought YOUR linens were old! These two framed silk pillowcases were made folk art crafted over a century ago and feature four baseball players as well as 56 actresses of the time. The ballplayers are: Hal Chase and Harry Wolter of the New York Highlanders, George "Peaches" Graham of the Chicago Cubs and Hooks Wiltse of the New York Giants. Among the actresses of note are matinee marm Louise Dressler and Billie Burke (Mrs. Flo Ziegfeld), most commonly known as Glinda the Good Witch from "The Wizard of Oz." A neat, hand-written list of all the honorees is attached. The frames measure roughly 25" x 25" and 21.5" x 21.5". The silks are in excellent condition.
