The New York Nets were the epitome of an ABA franchise. After all, their red, white and blue colors perfectly matched the league balls, while Julius Erving was the prototypical, flashy player who thrived in the wide-open, free-spirited style of the league. Here's an extremely rare white fleece warm-up top from Dr. J's former club with Rawlings size 40 and cleaning instructions tagging inside. The vintage NY Nets logo is sewn on the left breast in blue and red while "TRAINER" is sewn on the right breast, as this was clearly worn for games by the team's athletic trainer. Large lettering spelling out "NEW YORK" is on the back in red on blue while a medical cross is sewn on the left sleeve. The warm-up shows use but is in super condition. A sensational throwback to a one-of-a-kind league that dissolved in 1976 when it merged with the NBA. The franchise, which moved to New Jersey and most recently back to New York as the Brooklyn Nets, was one of the teams that grafted onto the NBA.
