Back when it was a "Class B" enterprise, the South Atlantic League was a low-level minor league operation that served as a feeder system to higher minor leagues. These baseballs from the "Sally League" date from the 1920s and 1930s and were manufactured by Goldsmith, One box is unopened and is in EX-MT condition. Another contains a black-and-red stitched ball with strong stampings and is 8 out of 10 condition with the box grading EX-MT. The league experienced some lean years and actually disbanded for a while but has been going strong since a rebirth in the 1980 season.
