America's most renown football coach is the star of the show here as Knute Rockne signed two items of note. First off, there's a striking 8" x 10" portrait photo by Freulich, which shows terrific contrast and is in EX-MT condition. Then, there's a game ticket from a home game played on October 29, 1927 against Georgia Tech that is signed on the lower right "K K Rockne" in fountain pen. The signature rates 7 out of 10, while the ticket is VG overall with some staining to the left-hand side that does not hinder the autograph at all. A native of Norway, Rockne was instrumental in integrating the forward pass into the game. He served as head coach for the Fighting Irish for 13 seasons, racking up an impressive 105 wins over that stretch against just 12 losses.
