There is no better year than this for Yankee collectibles, and we all know how tough it is to find anything from this historic season. OAL (Johnson) ball bears the signatures of that dynamic duo Ruth and Gehrig, as well as Lazzeri, Shawkey and Ruether. Note that Ruether only played thirteen games in 1926 with the Yanks, making this all but certainly of 1927 vintage. Joyfully, the signatures of the three Hall of Famers are easily the strongest, all very dark and legible from across the room. Shawkey and Ruether's signatures are quite a bit lighter. Ball appears to have game use, but is fairly evenly toned and attractive.
