From the 1920s to the 1960s, exhibit cards were choice collectibles sold primarily through vending machines such as this at arcades and amusement parks across the country. From the Fabulous '50s comes this 9" x 17.45" x 10" metal dispenser (with turnkey included) from Calex Manufacturing in Amityville, NY. Included are five unopened bricks of 500 cards from that decade (pre zip code), three of which feature film stars. The other two celebrate recording artists and astronauts, respectively. The cards - much like the Marlon Brando and Ann-Margaret display models on the machine's face - are presumed mint and original.
