One of the most iconic and oddly-shaped baseball stadiums of all-time, the Polo Grounds was home at one time or another to the New York Giants, New York Yankees and New York Mets, not to mention the football Giants. The "Bathtub" in Upper Manhattan opened in the 19th Century and lasted until 1963 when it was demolished. Inside the seating bowl, the end of each row featured a figural seat featuring the Giants' interlocking NY logo. The seats were originally orange with a black NY but were later painted green. This example in green was poorly done so some of the original orange and black show through. It is ready for someone to interchange and transform into a full figural seat. Measures 29" x 8" and is untouched in EX-MT condition. This seat side was present for historic baseball moments such as Willie Mays' 1954 World Series catch and Bobby Thomson's "Shot Heard 'Round the World" in 1951.
