Positively the most desired signed baseball photo of all, this is the famed shot by Charles Conlon "Sliding in" spikes-up and energy as high as it would take him. The photo clearly defines Cobb, who played the game relentlessly, and - some would say, recklessly. Signed specimens are impossible and can reach six figures. This is a newspaper print, but looks great and is perfectly dated 5/24/49. The signature is near-perfect and electrifying. The photo itself is 4.25" x 6.5". Here's your chance to obtain an item that is usually out of reach for most. Beautifully framed and from an important baseball autograph collection we can trace back to the 1940s. Ty Cobb spent his entire, 22-year career with the Detroit Tigers, the last six of which he also wore the hat of manager. He received the highest percentage of votes in the inaugural Hall of Fame class with 222 out of a possible 226, proving that even back in the 1930s, there were still sportswriters who wouldn't vote anyone in on the first ballot.
