Here's one of the earliest anti-drug public service announcements, in vivid color. Two legendary rock and rollers who died in their prime are the sole attractions on this psychedelic 36" x 14" poster from NP: L & S Productions in 1970. It features Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix on opposite sides of a die-cut pill in this anti-drug poster. Both were recently deceased at the time this was printed and it is in NRMT condition. one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music, Hendrix died of an overdose in his London hotel room on September 18, 1970 while Joplin - the throaty singer-songwriter dubbed the "Queen of Psychedelic Soul" - was found dead in her hotel room from a mixture of heroin and alcohol just 17 days later.
