Floyd Patterson, fighting, as a middleweight won an Olympic gold medal in the 1952 summer games. Turning professional he advanced in weight and won the heavyweight title in 1956. After losing it in 1959, Patterson became the first man to regain it in 1960. Patterson posted career victories over Ingemar Johansson, Henry Cooper, Archie Moore and Brian London. Patterson was a good puncher, but is best remembered for his speed, quickness and footwork. Offered here is a pair of fight shoes worn by Floyd Patterson in one of his numerous fights. The shoes are black leather with original laces. Circa 1960's. Perfectly intact, but exhibit plenty of wear. From the collection of Floyd Patterson.
