Floyd Patterson began his career as a middleweight in 1952. He slowly worked his way up in weight and by 1956 he was a bona fide heavyweight. After winning a title eliminator over Tommy Jackson in 1956 he took on Archie Moore later in the year for the heavyweight title vacated by Rocky Marciano's retirement. Patterson stopped Moore to complete a great year. Offered here is an award honoring his great year in 1956.
