In 1955, long-suffering fans of the Brooklyn Dodgers finally had reason to celebrate as their beloved Bums took home the crown in a seven-game World Series against the mighty Bronx Bombers. This highly-sought-after (and increasingly rare) 13" x 20.5" promotional piece was distributed by the Brooklyn brewery following the club's most successful October. The marvelous, die-cut team shot is crafted from three individual cardboard rows set about an inch in front of one another and back-lit for a stronger, three-dimensional effect. The Red Schaefer logo is at the top. “World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers” is printed at the bottom. Has some tears, but overall is very presentable and shows above average condition for this piece.
