Hall of Fame outfielder Ty Cobb customarily sported a dirty uniform, yet he never looked snazzier than in this 1920s studio photo with hands folded, and one holding a cigar. Quite the opposite demeanor than the one he regularly exhibited on the diamond. The accompanying letter from a young fan features the outfielder's autograph and is dated by Cobb "April-25th-47." The signature at the bottom is in blue ink and grades 9/10. The letter has mailing folds and tape stains at the top but is in EX-MT condition.
