Here is a unique, vintage photo album from sportswriter Ike Kuhn's time serving as a sports broadcaster in both television and radio for the Armed Forces Korea Network in Tokyo, Japan. Beautifully adorned with a shell-encased cover featuring regal tassels and accented with Mother of Pearl. These wonderfully crisp 3" x 4" snapshots center around two events: the inter-Army football game "The Rice Bowl," and the St. Louis Cardinals' 1958 tour of Japan, in which you'll notice pictures of Stan "The Man" Musial being interviewed. In addition, this album contains photos of Yankee Stadium and Ebbets Field in an interesting booklet from 1950-53. Kuhns provided superb, descriptive captions on the back of each photo which total 100+.
