The 1934 Al Demaree Die-Cuts are not normal-looking trading cards. Their size, 6.5" high and 1.63 to 1.75" wide, is different enough, as they were meant to be folded to stand up for presentation in a game. The cards picture a head shot of the player, with the body comprised of a drawing of the player in uniform with his name, position and team name along the bottom, with the card number centered below that. This card, numbered "5" of the set, depicts Sammy Byrd. The lettering under the image says "BYRD RF YANKEES," and upside-down (below the fold marks, intended to be correct after folding) reads "SAMUEL DEWEY (SAM) BYRD - BORN GREHAM, GA." This card is unfolded and is in remarkable condition with no visible blemishes, NM-MT condition.
