The 1956 Dodgers were undoubtedly greeted by many "Konnichiwas" upon their arrival in Japan during a goodwill tour following their heartbreaking, seven-game World Series loss to the rival Yankees. This 14-inch-wide mini travel bag was given to players and executives for the trip, and this particular one is in decent condition despite showing heavy use. The front reads: BROOKLYN DODGERS TOUR OF JAPAN 1956" complete with familiar logo. The back reads: "PAA PAN AMERICAN WORLD AIRWAYS" and the lettering is faded. The zipper is not functional and there are small cracks ion the inside lining, but they scarcely detract from such a cool item.
