A masterful, eye-popping work of art from folk artist George H. Sosnak, this hand-painted ball was signed by Ken Johnson, who on April 23, 1964 became the only pitcher to throw a no-hitter and lose in nine innings. The signature was enhanced by Sosnak, who covers nearly every millimeter of the ball with illustrations, commentary and stats from the game. Johnson's own error in the ninth inning led to the only run scored that day as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Colt .45s in Houston. This magnificent ball is in EX condition.
