Hall of Fame second baseman Rogers Hornsby wrote and signed this letter on official Cincinnati Reds stationery, possibly to a relative who lived in Canada. The letter is dated May 15, 1953 when the two-time Triple Crown winner was in his second and final year managing the Reds. The typed letter is in EX condition, showing only yellowing and slight creasing. Hornsby still owns the second-highest lifetime batting average in baseball history, with only Ty Cobb bettering him.
