This is a single signed baseball from one of the all-time greats. Napoleon “Larry” Lajoie was a standout figure in the major leagues at the turn of the century, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1937. Among the highlights of his colorful career was his battle with Ty Cobb for the 1910 batting title (won by Lajoie with an 8-for-8 performance on the final day of the season amidst much controversy). The ball is signed on the side panel "Larry Lajoie 9-14-52" in 6/10 ink. The signature panel is protected by shellac and this baseball grades VG. JSA LOA.
