This lot includes signatures from three of football’s all-time greats - Jim Brown, Roman Gabriel and Lou Groza - all on Official Wilson NFL footballs. The signature of Brown, widely considered the best running back of all time, is in blue ink on a white panel ball. Gabriel, one of the top quarterbacks of his era, is also signed on a white panel ball along with his number and teams (“18 Rams/Eagles”). Groza, who holds a place in the Hall of Fame for his kicking prowess, signed his name in silver Sharpie along with his nickname, “The Toe,” in quotations. Signatures average 8/10 while balls are slightly deflated but in NRMT condition.
