Here's a pretty rare program from the first heavyweight championship bout ever to be waged in the city of Cleveland, in the just-completed Municipal Stadium on the shore of Lake Erie. German Max Schmeling defended his title against William L. "Young" Stribling, a seasoned veteran of 300 bouts. This 38-page, 9" x 12" program is chock full of various sports features, as well as an unmarked scorecard, and is in VG-EX condition. The match went 10 rounds and marked the zenith of Stribling's career as he died at age 33.
