The 1912 Pirates featured Hall of Fame shortstop Honus Wagner and Hall of Fame outfielder Max Carey, and this wonderful panoramic shot shows the heart of the fine Bucs team that went 93-58 and finished second in the National League. This 99-year-old photo measures 19" x 5" and is in VG-EX condition minus some creases and imperfections. The pennant being displayed in the photo leaves off the "H" at the end of Pittsburgh, though the uniforms do not reflect this. The reason being is that 1912 was the first year after a 21-year experiment the city underwent to change the spelling of its name.
