2012 will mark the 100-year anniversary of two fights celebrated in this pugilistic lot. "Fireman" Jim Flynn of Pueblo, Colorado flirted with the heavyweight championship during his long career in the ring but could never quite snag the title. This dollar bleacher ticket is from his fight with Charley Flynn of Milwaukee in Daly City, California on Labor Day of 1912. The other ticket in the lot touts a match between Boxing Hall of Famer Willie Ritchie and One Round Hogan on August 16, 1912, three months before Ritchie would go on to win the lightweight title. Both appear G-VG on the fronts but have some damage on the backs from being in a scrapbook.
