This gorgeous program is from the 1929 Rose Bowl in which the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets - in their first post-season bowl game - defeated the California Golden Bears by a score of 8-7. California All-American Roy Riegels scooped up a Georgia Tech fumble and ran towards his own goal line; the two-point safety on the ensuing punt proved to be the margin of victory. California wasn’t even the Pacific Coast Conference champion that year - the USC Trojans were the PCC champions but declined the bid to play in the Rose Bowl, allowing second-place California to appeare instead. This program is in great condition – it has a minor front and back cover crease but is otherwise EX-MT.
