To hockey fans, the number 66 is synonymous with Mario Lemieux, the Hall of Fame forward who spent 17 seasons in Pittsburgh for the Penguins. Widely regarded as an all-time great, Lemieux scored his 500th career goal (in his 605th game) on October 26, 1995, becoming the second-fastest player (Gretzky - 575th) to attain the feat. Lemieux wore these very gloves when he put the puck in the net that night in New York against the Islanders. The number "500" is written inside each Koho glove, both of which are black with white lettering and trim. The palm and finger areas of the gloves are blackened, showing sure signs of use. The gloves are NRMT, a near-perfect representation of what professional hockey gloves should look like. A relic like this is usually found in the Hockey Hall of Fame, but this one-of-a-kind item is available here.
