This 13x26" painting of the lean power hitter Mel Ott is by famed sports painter Arthur K. Miller. The oil-on-board image shows Ott in full New York Giants uniform with bat in-hand coiling back and preparing to unleash a powerful swing. The paper back of the frame is original and signed by Miller in gold pen "Mel Ott - 2004 - Arthur K. Miller". Despite being only 6' 9" and 170 pounds, Ott crushed 511 home runs during his 22-year career, on his way to being selected to 12 All-Star Teams and winning 1933 World Series. Painting is NRMT and the frame in EX-MT with some very slight wear-and-tear.
