Lot Description  

This attractive official document of stock for the St. Louis Browns is like paper money. Showing two different dates in 1904 (date of original sale to Joshu Ghio and then the date of transfer to James Ghio), this certificate is for two shares of capital stock in the St. Louis American League Base Ball Co. The certificate is numbered 23 and features an official embossed seal. It is all handwritten in ink and features the signatures of R.L. Hedges and Ralph Orthwein. It features natural folds but is otherwise EX-MT.
