"U" can be the proud owner of this historic "U" that was part of the most recognizable address in American sports: Yankee Stadium. This 24x48" copper letter from the word "STADIUM" was installed in 1923 when the ballpark was built, then removed when the stadium underwent a two-year renovation in 1974-75. The copper is cracked in several spots, revealing the internal wood foundation. Several coats of black paint cover most of the front. This letter adorned the House that Ruth Built for half a century, during an immensely prolific period in franchise history that saw the Yankees amass their first 27 pennants and 20 World Series championships.
