This 14 karat white gold ring was awarded to the Brooklyn Dodgers' Vice President, Fresco Thompson, after the team won the World Series in 1959. Originally from Alabama, Fresco went on to study at Columbia University. Having played for a few teams (Pirates, Giants, and Robins/Dodgers), Thompson had some of his best playing years with the Phillies. The inside of the ring is stamped with (faded), "Balfour 14K". One side of the ring is engraved with "Fresco Thompson", and the other side of the ring says "1959 Dodgers". The face of the ring says "Los Angeles World Champions", and has a large diamond in the center of the baseball diamond. The condition is given an 8/10. Size 9.
