This interesting piece is a tin mechanical cigarette holder in the shape of a soccer ball. Measuring approximately 4" in diameter, the ball reads "Racing Mechelen" on one side and "Elite Champion" on the other. At the top of the ball on one side of the stitching appears "Handwerk" and on the other "Pekdraad Handgenaalt." The year 1938 stamped near the stitching; the ball rests on a metal base. The top of the ball pulls up at the center of the ball to expose the metal tubes intended to hold cigarettes (enough to hold a pack). The piece shows some wear but overall is in very good condition.
