The first watch is a Bulova Quartz Accutron watch with a band made of genuine lizard. The face reads "'97 Chase, NIT." The watch has a stainless steel back and is water resistant. During the 1997 National Invitational Tournament (NIT), Michigan won first place. The second watch is a Swiss-made watch. The silvery face displays a man being crowned, with a woman's face (wearing a crown) next to him. The words read, "2000 NCAA Basketball, Division I Men's Championship." There is a golden trim around the face of the watch. In 2000, Michigan State, coached by Tom Izzo, won the national title with an 89-76 victory over Florida.
