Winner of four Cy Young awards and elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame, pitcher Steve Carlton was known to his Philadelphia fans as "Lefty". This uniform was worn by Carlton in 1981, the same year he won a Gold Glove Award for his fielding. The jersey has "Carlton" stitched in the collar, with Carlton's number "32" in red on the left, and the letter "P" on the right. Just under this, Lefty has written "Steve Carlton, HOF 94" in black marker. The tags on the tail say "Wilson, 46" with "81, 1" added on a small tag just underneath. The back says "Carlton 32". The pants have been signed with the same "Steve Carlton, HOF 94" on the left leg. The inside of the waist reads "Wilson 36". Next to this, stitched on a separate tag is "Carlton, 81, 1, 26". It is rare to find a complete uniform. The jersey shows excellent use from one of the greats in baseball. LOA.
