When Joe Namath promised the world that his underdog Jets would top Unitas' mighty Colts, more than a few folks snorted in disbelief. But none of those doubters are wearing one of these, are they? This spectacular Rolex Oyster Perpetual was gifted to "Paul Zimmerman, N.Y. Post," as inscribed on back of watch. The watch was consigned by Zimmerman himself, who was the Post's beat man for the Jets (and now a senior pro football writer at Sports Illustrated going by the pen name Dr. Z). Face is decorated with the Jets logo and the historic words "World's Champions 1968." It's a gorgeous piece, absolutely NRMT, and in perfect running condition (replacement band). Among the most exciting relics from this most famous of Super Bowls in the collecting market. LOA from Zimmerman on S.I. letterhead.
