Pedro Martinez first pitched for the New York Mets during the 2005 baseball season. This 2005 jersey has "45" on the front and back, with "MARTINEZ" lettered across the back and the MLB logo above his name. A Mets logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve; Majestic tag with size 44 and "2005" hang tags are inside the left front tail and a 0062 wash tag is sewn into the left seam. Martinez did not wear this style jersey when pitching, but the jersey shows use. The pants have a Majestic tag with a "45 Martinez 35-39 35 C 05 P3" strip tag in the back waistband, and a 0082 wash tag in the fly seam. A Majestic logo patch appears above the left pocket.
