This 14K gold men's ring was designed and manufactured for the KCAL 9 television station to commemorate the Lakers' 2000 Championship season. 37 round full cut diamonds make the ring shine, from .01 to .08 ct. each, totalling approximately .94 carats. Made by Henry Kay Jewelers-Masters of Design, this ring was produced as an exact replica of the players' championship rings, but smaller with smaller diamonds. The jewelers designed and manufactured exact duplicates of the original in 2 smaller sizes. The largest size with the highest total diamond weight was issued to the players and staff of the Lakers organization. The medium size (THIS RING) was awarded to or available for purchase to KCAL 9 employees. The cushion shape top is pave' set with melee diamonds framing the "Lakers" logo plate in the center. The center plate is framed by intaglio lettering "WORLD CHAMPIONS" separated by columns of bead set melee diamonds. One of the shoulders displays an intaglio of a basketball net with a bezel set diamond as the basketball and the raised lettering "BLING BLING" and "2000." The other shoulder displays the NBA logo in intaglio with season record "67 15", the play-off record "15 8", and "JACOBS" with the number "9." Ring is stamped with "14K" on inside, and is a size 12.5.
