Baseball and tobacco were inseparable in the early days of the sport. The sport has come a long way since then, but if anything positive came from this association, it would be the wonderful vintage art and advertising that was produced at the time. This paper lithograph (on board), advertising Home Run brand cigarettes, features a batter and catcher at what passes for "home plate" -- a box of five cent Home Run smokes. At the bottom, the phrases "Quality Not Style" and "Burley Blend" promote the product. This is one of only two real copies that our experts at Lelands have ever come across. A truly rare find, for both sports fans and vintage collectors.
