Hall-of-Famer Jerome Hanna "Dizzy" Dean pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1930 until his departure to Chicago in '38. This 46 x 70 inch flag, from Old Busch Stadium's final year of use, is in honor of Dean's retired number 17. Directly obtained from the Cardinals themselves, this flag was one of several flown to celebrate the retired numbers of its most important players. Dizzy's 17 is sewn in red fabric over the white cloth of this in-tact flag. A great piece celebrating both a legendary Cardinal and the field on which he his team played.
