Original, on site poster for the first fight between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier at Madison Square Garden in New York on March 8, 1971. Frazier won a hard fought 15 round decision to become the undisputed World Heavyweight Champion in the vent known simply as “The Fight.” The poster is paper measuring 22” x 28.” It has been professionally linen backed. There is some restoration to the poster which does take away from the age or vividness of the images. Poster does exhibit some cracks in the paper and the original folds. Stamped “Murray Poster Printing Company”. A scarce and desirable championship fight poster of these two great champions.
