It truly was “era Pele,” as the Brazilian soccer superstar defined the sport for three decades. This 1974 Santos (his last year with his 1950’s-1970’s team) jersey is lightly match-worn - speckled with sweat stains, some grime, collar toning, and general wear. The highlight is the blue sharpied signature and inscription (8/10) of Pele to Domicio Pinheiro - the author of included book “era Pele” and to whom Pele personally made a gift of this signed jersey - upon this vintage jersey’s front, next to the “S.F.C.” (Santos Futebol Clube) emblem. # 10 is embroidered on back; collar tag reads “Uma Malha Athleta.”
