The only specimens on the face of the earth. Remarkable matched set starts with cardboard boxes in the shape of Harvard and Yale's initials, and painted in the team's colors. Open the boxes to find a large handpainted figure in "Yale," and two identical figures in "Harvard." Each is constructed from composition and dressed in period felt uniforms. Separate them at the waist to find a hollow container that once contained candy. The large footballs included are hollow as well, made for that same purpose. The figures were adapted from the much more common Santa Claus candy containers by the German company that manufactured them, and were sold exclusively in the States. The Santa Clause figures commonly sell for $500, so one can only imagine what this set might be worth. Condition is EX. Stunning find will be the talk of the collecting community.
