Included with the award is an interesting grouping of material from the files of Baseball Quarterly Magazine. In the years 1978, 1979 and 1980 Baseball Quarterly Magazine sent out questionnaires to all of the managers in major league baseball asking them to pick the performer of the year. The managers filled in their top five picks and most (but not all) signed on the line marked "signature." Managers who signed include Sparky Anderson, Bobby Cox, Earl Weaver, Whitey Herzog, Don Zimmer, Dick Williams, Tommy Lasorda, Joe Torre, Dick Howser, and more. There are 55 total pieces with about 2/3 of them being signed. Condition is EX-MT with bold signatures.
