Impressive group of oils on board of great old fighters. Includes such eminent pugs as Marcel Cerdan (impressive image with shadowy side ring scene of this tragic husband of Edith Piaf), Johnny Dundee (the colors in the ring action are spectacular, one of the best ones here), Ingemar Johansson (simple ring shot is gorgeous), Gene Fullmer (powerfully dramatic look and feel). A wonderful group of equally wonderful quality. Spectacular oil paintings were used for the cover of this, the preeminent Mexican boxing magazine of the last few decades: Ring Mundial. These one-of-a-kind paintings which are mostly oil-on-canvas (they were then mounted on artist's board), each measure about 20x15". They are in EX-MT condition and were obtained from the daughter of Valente Perez, the sportsman-entrepreneur-artist who published the magazine and also did these paintings!
