Notes: Eight important documents that tie together the 1916 sale and purchase of the Cleveland Indians and League Park. 1) Hand drawn map of the parcel of land on which League Park was built. 2) One page resolution correcting a mistake on the sale document to Ban Johnson, signed by Secretary of the Cleveland Baseball Club. 3) Two page resolution selling the Cleveland Baseball Club and League Park to Ban Johnson, signed by Cleveland’s secretary. 4) Bill of Sale transferring ownership of the Cleveland Baseball Club and franchise to Ban Johnson, signed by Ban Johnson, Cleveland’s secretary and two witnesses. Interesting to note, it lists “one half of Lajoie’s salary” ($4,500) as one of the items that the new owner will assume. 5) Deed for League Park being assigned from Ban Johnson to the Cleveland Baseball Company, signed by the County Clerk and a notary. 6) Bill of Sale transferring the Cleveland Baseball Club and franchise back to the Cleveland Baseball Company, signed by Byron Bancroft Johnson, William Harridge and another witness. 7) Deed to League Park being transferred from the Cleveland Ball Club Company to Ban Johnson, signed by the Ball Club’s secretary, two witnesses and a notary. 8) Unsigned copy of an agreement in which Ban Johnson sells the Cleveland Ball Club several parcels of land. Amazing stuff here!

Condition: All are contained within their original envelope and rate EX.
